On April 7, 2014, the national commemoration of the genocide in Rwanda will begin, marking the 20th anniversary of this dark period in history. This benefit concert is to assist a Rwandan patient of the MUHC to go to Rwanda in April 2014 to attend these events.

barbara-lewis-eyesclosed-smBarbara Lewis is a classical/pop singer & songwriter whose voice & style is often compared with Nana Mouskouri & Sarah Brightman. Praised for her wide range and deep emotive power, Lewis sings well-known songs from pop/folk, jazz and new world fusion genres.

imgresClaire Duchesneau was born into a musical family and first performed on the radio at age 3. Over the years, she suffered hearing loss and wears hearing aids in both ears. In 2010, after she was diagnosed with cancer and before the start of treatment, Claire recorded her first CD as she was concerned that the chemotherapy could affect her hearing. She is now in remission from cancer. Claire is a full time social worker in HIV/AIDS at the MUHC.

chad-linsleyChad Linsley is a sought after pianist, soloist, sideman and accomplished arranger.
He teaches jazz piano at McGill University.
